Search Operators

      The question that we were searching for was 'how do the democratic and republican positions on 'fiscal cliff' differ?'. When i went to search this on Google i used AND/OR in my question instead of the '&' and i also put -videos and -blogs which helped lower the search results.
When you use quotation marks you can find articles or sites based on what you put inside of the quotation marks. I also did -Facebook, -twitter which gave me lower results than before. So there more i use the '-' with anything that is common, i can get lower search results. My lowest reults came to 136 .
This gave me the best out of the best for the answer to the fiscal cliff.question. I made sure that it was past 24 hours so that I would have the most updated sites. All of the.sites had good information on the differences of both democratic and republican positions

Anakins Failed Destiny Essay

Anakin was destined to be the chosen one until his fears got the best of his mindset and decision-making. He put his trust into the wrong hands and was punished for it in the long run. Anakins love for Padme made him make the wrong decisions but he was manipulated to think it was the right decision to switch to the sith. All anakin wanted to do was save Padme from death by birth.
   There were many times where Anakin was lost. One time he got lost was when chancellor palpatine made the decision of anakin to become a jedi master, and the council didnt agree. The council knew that Chancellor Palpatine was planning something. When the council sent anakin to spy on the chancellor he found out that he was really a sith lord. Anakin brought this information back to Master Windu.
Chancellor Palpatine manipulated Anakins mind by telling him that he can save his wife Padme if he joins the sith.All anakin wanted to do was to save his wife, so he believed in what the chancellor was telling him. When it came down to his final decision, anakin chose to slay master windu to help the chancellor survive so that he can lead him into learning the power of the sith. Anakin was therefore known as Darth Vader, the apprentice of Lord Sidious also known as the Chancellor.
   Now that anakin was manipulated that the jedi was a threat, he believed Obi Wan Konobi was trying to get Padme against him. Padme started to see that Anakin really did change, she was being told he did it for her. Anakin then started to choke her with the force and made her faint. Anakin and Obi Wan fought until Obi Wan finally slayed his legs. Obi wan then told anakin about his wrong decisions and how it messed up his destiny.
The actions Anakin took lead to Padmes death at birth. If Anakin was to remain a jedi then Padme wouldnt have died, or she could of possibly died either way and that information remains unknown. Anakin had the chance to remain a jedi if he didn't slay Master Windu, or if he didnt believe Lord Sidious' words. Anakin would have been the chosen one if he stayed a jedi. His wrong decision-making led to all of his losses in Episode Three of Star Wars, the Revenge of the Sith.
   

My Opinion on the Pros & Cons of Proposition 35

    This proposition has to do with Human Trafficking also known as human slavery , and that is not aceptable to me by any means. I would vote yes because it is for a stop of human trafficking. It increases prison terms and fines for human trafficking. It also expands the definition of human trafficking to include the distribution of child pornography. It also requires convicted sex traffickers to register as sex offenders.
     The Pros of passing Proposition 35 requires all sex offenders to disclose their internet accounts for more safety. Also requires criminal fines from convicted human traffickers to pay for services to help victims. And it also Mandates law enforcement training on human trafficking. It is best to vote yes on proposition 35 so that more people would be safe from sexual abuse or possible slavery.
     The Cons of passing Proposition 35,  anyone receiving financial support from normal, consensual prostitution among adults could be prosecuted as a human trafficker, and if convicted, forced to register as a sex offender for life. People think passing the proposition is not going to help it at all but it seems to me like it would. People also feel like it is difficult to stop the crime in general, it is just making the expenses of the fine higher than it originally was.

Sir Maximilian The Knight Canterbury Tale

            In my Canterbury tale, my occupation would be a knight. I would have come from a poor background, and only hard work got me to be a Knight. I would be the Knight of San Sebastion, and jousting would be my main sport where i can get my name out there. I wouldnt have a certain job, i only joust and get paid money for my wins. I face many challenges, only challenging the best jousters in the world. The higher the challenge, the more i get paid for a win. When i first started jousting, it took several practice for me to master it down, i have been in about 25 jousting match ups and only lost once. I represent San Sebastion wherever i go. San Sebastions logo is a lion and i wear the logo on my armor plate.
             I come from a poor family where my father was a blacksmith and my mother helped with the house and cook for us, i would help her until i got old enough to help my father. I made my first armor at the age of 10 and from there on out i have made better lasting armor. I have had the same joust for 10 jousting matches. My poor background has helped me achieve my goals as a knight because i always think back to the times where i didnt have much, and now that i have it all as a knight i work my hardest to achieve what is ahead of me to show the people of my town to never give up because one day you might have it all.
             The world around me is a busy place and i have my own occupation like others in the world do. I didnt do military training or anything like that, i got trained by one of the top jousters of the world, Sir Ulrich Vanlikenstein. I value my family, my armor, my town and my people. In the future i would love to leave off a legacy of being a top jouster and a knight that the people looked up to. I want to be an example of not giving up because you can get somewhere as long as you try your best.

Chaucer's Description of the Friar

    The occupation that our character has is a Friar that is sworn to poverty and living on charitable donations. In this time period there were poor,middle and rich people and The Friar focuses on looking for donations from those who can give money. The social standing of the Friar seems to be poor. The day to day life of the friar is asking for donations in a limited area. Chaucer did not include which order the friar is apart of. A modern day occupation that the Friar might fit in is a member of the church who asks for donations.

What is the American Dream?

                The American Dream in my perspective is just a dream of living the good, all around beneficial life. In order to put yourself on the road to success you have to educate yourself.  The generation I live in doesn’t have it as easy as the past did, but of course life will always be moving forward. The only difficult part about that is keeping yourself on track with the way life changes over time.

            According to the article ‘Generation Screwed’, older people with higher education than the young can replace those with lower education than themselves in most jobs. Due to this fact, younger people have more of a hard time trying to find a full-time job than those who have a higher education. There are many students who work part-time jobs and have a struggle trying to pay off bills, rent and anything in that particular area. A grocery-store employee said that he quit high school because everyone that he went to school with were getting lousy jobs with their college degrees. Due to what this article has told me, I decided that I am going to to be for sure about what I want to minor or major in college so that I wouldn’t have to switch and spend extra time and years taking classes.

            Another article that I read was ‘icrazy’ which is about how technology causes addiction in a majority of people’s lives. Technology is a distracting factor in the road to the American Dream because most of the day we are either on our phones texting or on the computer checking mail, facebook, etc. Us people can’t really go a day without technology because it is the top place to find out what is going on in the world yet I think we overuse it. An experiment that was done in the University of Maryland called ‘unplugged’ showed results of a high number of addictions. Once again technology is distracting and is being overused.

            The way to get on the road to the American dream is to stay on your education grind and to try and stay away from distracting factors. It isn’t easy to get where you want to go but trying is always an option. Maybe once we start college we won’t start off in the place where we want to be, but if we get through it and keep educating ourselves then we will find ourselves on the road to many opportunities. The major factor to success is education and that is why we need to stay in school. That is the only answer to the question of what the American dream really is, Education and the time given for it.

College Acceptance Revoking Rules, Do i Agree? Yes or No.

                        The question is if I agree with colleges taking away your acceptance if you don't finish the demanding schedule that high school gives you with hard work. There would be a lot of people who disagree and agree with this and I am saying that i am one of those who agree. If you get an acceptance letter and you start slacking on your work while your still in high school then that is just giving a negative image of yourself to the college that has accepted you. If the college has already accepted you then you have to finish the remaining work of high school.
                        I believe that we should finish what we already started and that is senior year. Finishing a class with a good grade gives the college a better image and if the college sees that you started to slack towards the end of the year then they will think that your not ready for the college has to give. It takes hard work to get accepted in the first place so why start to slack on a class where you have worked hard at the whole time. Seniors should have to work hard on a daily basis to prepare themselves for the college life. I just don't believe in setting a negative image of myself in the first place and that's why i agree to work hard all year. 
                        There are other students that i believe are lying in there college applications saying that they took a hard class but really are taking a class easier than what they said they're taking. If the college finds that out then your automatically dropped and that's reasonable because you just don't lie to such a big thing in life. I wish i get to say that i took hard classes but i'm being honest in my applications. I'm not one of those students that took AP or a class like that but that doesn't mean that i'm going to lie in an application. Being honest should be the first thing that comes to mind when you apply for college.
                        Being accepted to a college is something that a person should take very serious, they shouldn't slack there way out of high school. Senior year should be that year that you have to prepare for college because that is whats next. So i agree with the fact that a senior should work hard on a daily basis and do what they have to do to graduate and get accepted into college. I also believe that a senior should try their absolute best to maintain a good image of themselves for the college that they are being accepted to. My answer is Yes I agree with the fact that a college should take away a seniors acceptance if they lie in their applications or start slacking after they have been accepted.            

Senior Year Highlights

                           

               The first and foremost thing that i am looking forward to my senior year is graduating with a high school diploma. I cant wait for that moment when i am wearing a cap and gown and just knowing that i am finally leaving the long years of high school. The second thing that i'm looking forward to is the challenge of second semester and having to do the senior project.  If i get through this challenge the way that i am supposed to then i cant wait to feel that relief when it is finished. I'm basically saying that i am really looking forward to that feeling that you get when your finished with senior year because it is the most challenging year of high school.
                Another thing that i am looking forward to is completing football season as a senior and this year is a big year for me because i happen to be a starter. I have to do my best this season and it means a lot to me to finish as a good football player. Senior year has a lot in store but i am looking forward to each and every moment that is have to give. My senior year looks challenging and i'm planning to stay on task throughout the year.
